Permanent glass solar panels used to be a popular choice because semi-flexible solar panels could not yet achieve the same efficiency. Foldable panels are extremely mobile and can come in handy if you do not want to mount the panels to your vehicle.

Simply put, the panel captures the sun's rays, converts them into energy, which it then passes on to a device that can collect the energy. The most popular option for this is the portable power station. A mobile battery that can be used to power laptops, mobile phones, lights, refrigerators and more. You can also use a charge controller to connect a battery to a solar panel if you want to store energy for later.

How many motorhome solar panels do I need?

How many solar panels you need for your caravan or motorhome depends entirely on your energy consumption. Do you mainly use the motorhome during the day or also in the evenings? Do you want to be able to use the air conditioning, and do you prefer to camp off-grid? When in doubt, it is always better to have more solar panels than too few. The surplus power can be stored and used later.
