The Victron SmartSolar MPPT 100/30 charge controller is equipped with the MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracker) system. When it is cloudy and the light intensity changes constantly, the MPPT controller system (Maximum Power Point Tracker) improves the energy yield. The technology ensures that the charge regulator automatically adjusts to these changing voltages so that the energy is transferred efficiently from the solar panel to the battery. The Bluetooth Smart charge controller has a built-in bluetooth module so that the yield (real time and history) of your solar panels is easy to read in the Victron app. The app is suitable for Apple and Android smartphones, tablets or other devices. Unlike the BlueSolar controllers, the Bluetooth interface is already installed, so no additional accessories have to be purchased.
When a charge regulator can not charge the battery in top condition in one day, the result is often that the battery constantly fluctuates between "partially charged" and entirely empty. This method (the battery regularly not recharging completely) makes a battery lazy after a while.
The BatteryLife algorithm monitors the charging status of the battery and increases the level of load decoupling day after day until the absorption voltage is reached. From that moment on the level of load decoupling is modulated, so that the absorption voltage is reached about once a week. The BatteryLife algorithm significantly increases the life of the battery.
The Victron SmartSolar MPPT 100/30 charge controller also has a number of security features. These protect against deep discharge, overcharging and the prevention of discharge of the battery via the solar panel (at night). In addition, there are safeguards against polarity reversal, too high a voltage of the solar panel, short circuit and overload.
