The Solar Power Supply 400W Shingle Solar Panel is the new all black solar panel with an exceptionally high power. These solar panels have a beautiful, black appearance thanks to their black frame, black backsheet and color-selected solar cells. The 400W solar panel is the first panel in our range with an overlap solar cell technology. The solar cells are placed closer together and halved. This is also known as high density interconnect technology. The advantage of this is that more of the available surface is used to place solar cells. In addition, resistance losses are reduced, so that solar cells can produce more power.
Overlap solar cells offer several advantages over traditional solar cells. Most importantly, the solar cells provide improved performance by improving the transmission efficiency of the cells, increasing the efficiency of the solar panel. Solar panels with this technology are also physically more durable, because they are smaller and more resistant to cracks. Smaller cells experience reduced mechanical stresses, reducing the likelihood of cracking.
The Solar Power Supply 400W Shingle Solar Panel uses a universal MC4 connector (IP67). Through this output, the panel can generate approximately 2000 Wh of energy daily during good weather conditions and the energy can be stored in a Power Station or in a battery in combination with a charge controller.
